Parades, Parades, Parades.

Pictures, pictures, pictures...

Toath.
(Ha! Check out Bub's side eye)

The gang.
My Aunt Missy is in the yellow. She is such a rockstar and was wonderful to get us around that day.
Of all the parades. I loved watching daddy but, Toath was my favorite. Micheal was such a gracious host and the street was all to our selves. It was a blast!

He loved the beads and at that exact moment realized beads were just a ton of balls on a string.
Can you see him saying "Ball, ball".
Love that guy.
Dancing to the music! We did lots of dancing.
The Loot

Next up was the Boxed Wine Parade. It's before Bacchus. Which is a huge parade and I got not one picture of. What can I say after this one we started having fun and forgot the camera for the last few we saw.

This one was so funny I had to share. For what we gathered it's a hodge podge of people that just wanted a silly parade. Check out their style.
They were rocking it out and with garabge can lids and random things. So fun!
Lyndsey and some green giant.
Haha Is that Eeyore?
Red Beans Girl!
and Rice!

It was so much fun.
I wish I had pictures of the rest but, we started just enjoying them and not taking the camera.

Some other highlights...

Who Dat!
Haha check out that hat...

Auntie Yinsee and Bub's dancing
Trolly rides

and a whole lot more of this...

What a great trip.
The only thing that would have made it better would have been for dad to join us.
Next Year for sure.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures.
Next Up...

Walking Boy!

Parades!
Most people heard we were taking Jackson to Mardi Gras and gave us a great big side eye.
You think it is all beer and umm "chest parts" It is not. At all.
Yes those places do exist but, for the most part it is very family friendly.

First up was so Special.
My Uncle CJ was riding in Babylon on Thursday but, since the weather was bad it got rescheduled to Saturday. One of the guys couldn't ride who was in the line up.
CJ called to see if since Brian was turning 30 he would want to ride.
UMM YES!

So we got up bright and early to get him to CJ so they could head to the parade starting place.

This was when we got to the parade route at 9am look how crowded it already is!

How the kids watch the parade.
(we have so many pics of us in them when we were young)

See...

We found daddy before the parade. Poor Bubs was sleepy.

Daddy and Uncle Justin
We went and got in our spot.
After Daddy's float went by we were heading straight over to My Aunt Missy's friend Micheals house to watch the Toath Parade since daddy wouldn't get off his route till about 1:30.
Does somebody look sleepy?

Can you believe it, right before the parade started.
It was ok he saw plenty more so we let him snooze.
but, I kinda hated he missed daddy.

The King of Babylon

My Godmom and I

Daddy's float...
he is the 4th one back.
{eepp so exciting)
It was so much fun watching him ride.
I was so excited he got the chance and he had so much fun!
Thanks CJ!

So off to Toath we went. Jackson woke up and got a first class ride from his favorite Uncle.

Check back tomorrow for the wrap up.
I am going to fit in a ton of parades tomorrow so we can start on the walking post!
It was such an awesome trip. Who wants to come meet up next year?

NOLA {part 1}

 Shameless mommy plug!

You guys are the best...

We got into NOLA late friday night.
We drove from here so 7 hours with a 20 month old.
We were ready to get in.
My Aunt Kimmie and Uncle Carl graciously let us stay with them for the trip.
{love ya'll!}

We had so much fun staying with them. I have the best family, seriously.
Not to mention we hadn't met this little doll yet and we couldn't wait...
(Baby Tate was sick so we didn't get to snuggle him but, we can't wait to meet him next time)

Miss Addison!

It is so funny that Jackson and Miss Addison look like their daddy's.
We are very Italian looking. We all have the Olive skin, dark hair and eyes
and until Jackson and Addison
all of the "offspring" look just like our side of the family.
Now we have a white boy and Irish girl but,
they are so stinking cute, who cares.

She and Jackson had a blast together. He kind of couldn't figure her out.
He wanted to be near her all the time but, she just wanted to tackle love on him
and it was a little intimidating for him.

Blackmail Action Shots

{haha LOVE IT}

I could post 1000 pictures of that girl alone but,
I still have a bunch of the trip to show you so I will refrain.

So after a night of loving on everyone and some rest. We were off.
My brother and his girlfriend Lyndsey came into town as well as my mom and God mom Marlene.
We hooked up with them the next day for some meaningful visit's.

We went by what is left of my Grandma's house.

After Katrina it's only a slab but, we always like to go. That palm tree in the front yard still stands and even though it may seem silly. Stands for something to us. Grandma loved the Saint's and the tears that were shed when they won the Super Bowl were because she wasn't with us to see it.
{tear just thinking about it. It's always an emotional trip since she isn't there anymore}

Next stop was a MUST and is a must if you plan to visit NOLA.
You have to visit, drive to Challmette and go eat at
Rocky & Carlo's

It might not look like much on the outside but...

Baked Macaroni with gravy

Bub's eating up

Roast Beef Po-boy
(yes I ate that)

Shrimp Po-boy
{this was hubby's but, I had one another day}
((ok two other days don't judge))

Family and Food. Welcome to my Italian family.
Check back tomorrow and we start Parades!
"Beads. Beads."
